Alternative Gift Fair - Sunday, November 11th from 8am -
2pm
Suncreek's Annual Alternative Gift Fair is held in Palmer Hall. Gift items that support missions ministries
in our community, the U.S., and worldwide will be available for purchase.
Enjoy delicious cider and cookies while you shop for items like: a door for a family in Juarez, live chickens for an impoverished family, a New
Testament Bible in Czech to be distributed by the pastor of the church we are
working with in the Czech Republic, and a week of meals for a person served by
Meals on Wheels in our area. Click here for more information |
Trinity River Mission Christmas Project - Saturday, December 1 from 9am-3pm.
Suncreek's special Christmas Missions project this year is
the Trinity River Mission Christmas Family Connection. This program benefits impoverished families at Trinity River Mission. We will be adopting families and bringing gifts to a large Christmas party at 1018 Gallagher Street in Dallas on Saturday, December 1 from 9am-3pm. We will enjoy games, food, and fellowship with the families. Please
contact Janet Hunt in the church office if you are interested
in participating or if you would like to volunteer to help with
the party.

First Sunday in Advent -
December 2
Worship with us at 8:15am, 9:30am, or 11am. Experience dynamic worship with inspiring preaching and music! Communion will be served. At 8:15am, the Hight School members of Cantate, our 100 member youth choir will sing Lost in the Night. The Worship Team, an ensemble of talented singers and instrumentalists will lead music at 9:30am. The Chancel Choir will present traditional Advent music during the 11am service including Every Valley by John Ness Beck. Rev. Kathleen Baskin-Ball preaches at all services. |

Family Advent Workshop - Sunday , December 2
3:00 – 5:00 pm.
Children, youth, and adults are invited to join us for family holiday fun in Palmer Hall as we make Christmas crafts and an Advent candle wreath. The cost of this event is
$5.00 to help cover supplies. Join us for Christmas cookies

Arts and Crafts Festival
Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th
The How Bazaar Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on Friday evening, December 7th and all day Saturday, December 8th in Palmer Hall. Suncreek's Congregational Care Committee is sponsoring this event. If you would like to sell some
of your creative endeavors, or are a vendor with items to sell, please
call Christy Parker at 972-396-2943 to reserve a table. |

Second Sunday in Advent - December 9
Worship with us at 8:15am, 9:30am, or 11am. Rev. Kathleen Baskin-Ball will preach at all services. The middle school members of Cantate will sing at the 8:15am service. The Worship Team will provide music leadership at 9:30am. The JAM Choir (1st -3rd grade) will and the Chancel Choir lead music at the 11am service. |

Festival of
Nine Lessons and Carols - Sunday, December 9 at 6pm.
Join us for a special evening of new and traditional carols. Choirs, orchestra, organ, and all those present will join in the joyful music of the season. Choirs participating include Adult Chancel Choir, Cantate, and Solid Rock.

Third Sunday in Advent - December 16
Rev. Kathleen Baskin-Ball preaches at all services. At the 8:15am worship service, the Cantate Choir will present Advent music from around the world. At the 9:30am service, music will be led by the Worship Team and the Solid Rock Choir. At 11am, Grace Notes Handbell Choir will ring out the season's carols. The Chancel Choir will sing Dona nobis pacem by Randall Stroope. |

The Backwards Christmas Pageant
Sunday, December 16th at 6:00pm
Children in grades 1 – 5 will present the musical: The Backwards Christmas Pageant in Palmer Hall . It has been written for
church productions to provide children with a new, funny,
and refreshing way to present the Christmas story. For more information, contact Adriene Morgan.

Sunday Morning Worship - Fourth Sunday in Advent - December 23 at 9:30 & 11am.
Worship with us at 9:30am and 11am. Rev. Kathleen Baskin-Ball preaches at both services. A Brass ensemble will join us throughout the morning. Cantate, our youth choir, will lead music at the 9:30am service. At the 11am service, the Chancel Choir will sing selections from Handel’s Messiah. There will not be an 8:15am service or Sunday School that morning. Childcare will be provided. (Typically, children 1st grade and older attend the service rather than going to the childcare room.) |

Christmas Offering This year’s special Christmas offering will go to support St. Lukas United Methodist Church in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Our church has entered into a partnership with this church. Resources are needed to support the pastor, his family, the ministry to youth and young adults. Our support will enable the small church to reach out to the community and share a bold message of love and hope. |
