Capital Campaign 2002 - 2005 Capital Campaign Kick-off Over
600 persons gathered at 10am on Sunday, May 12 for a spirit filled worship
service under the big top! Music
from the Worship Team, Adult Choir, Children's Angel Choir, Handbell Choir, and
brass filled the tent and echoed into the surrounding field. Reverend Kathleen
Baskin-Ball preached an inspiring sermon with great energy and enthusiasm that
rocked the podium and stirred the heart of all. Awesome weather and tasty food made for a great picnic
following the service. The zany
post-picnic games for persons of all ages spawned a tide of belly laughs. Boy Scout Troop 1299 directed the parking of hundreds of cars with
precision. Advance pledges totaling
over $600,000 were announced. It
was extraordinary day in the life of the church!!!
Our Building Needs Our continued dynamic membership growth has resulted in
crowded facilities. This problem
will intensify as our church continues to grow. Our needs include additional worship space, classroom space, office
space, fellowship space, restrooms, and parking.
The new building supported by this campaign opened in April 2004. It is located to the east of the church's first building and includes a 450-seat worship space, five offices, a multi-purpose room, and seven children’s classrooms. Video Presentation One
of the best ways to learn about the Campaign is to obtain a copy of the Capital
Campaign Video from the church office. The
video provides a brief history of the church, tells the story of how the church
touches persons lives, reviews why we need additional space, and presents an
overview of the new building.
