We are the Youth of Suncreek UMC

Suncreek United Methodist Youth is a group growing together in Christ through fellowship, worship, fun, missions and much more. We are dedicated to serving Christ by reaching out to each other and those around us. This means taking time to listen to each other’s joys and concerns. It means reaching out to the community and the world through service. We love to have great fun together and to laugh together. We enjoy learning new things and having new experiences. Our group is a great place to feel the love of God, to grow closer to God, and to build strong relationships and memories that last a lifetime. Join Us!

	Sunday Morning Youth are invited attend Sunday School at 9:30am or 11:00am. Sunday mornings are a great chance to be with Friends and explore topics of faith. We will do crafts, missions, and study the word of God together. Join this relaxing time to learn and grow. 9:30 am - Sunday School for 7th & 8th grade (A108) and 9th - 12 th grade (A107) 11:00 am - Sunday School for 6 - 8th grade (A108) and 9th - 12th grade (A107) (Building Map)
	Sunday Night UMYF is a time for fellowship, building relationships, having fun and getting becoming more deeply connected to God. There are some exciting things planned in the fall for the youth on Sunday nights including crazy games and meaningful and relevant programs. Sunday nights are a “must” - check it out!
	Confirmation The journey of faith is like the journey of life…high points, bumps in the road, twists and turns. For those in 6th grade, Confirmation lays the foundations of faith that will be a building block for a life filled with purpose and passion. Please join us in Palmer Hall at 9:30am on each Sunday. We will be meeting throughout the year for meaningful and fun events. This is a great chance for youth to explore the roots of the faith and begin a faith journey of their own. 	Wednesday Night Each Wednesday, there are a variety of opportunities the kick the rust off of our faith and grow closer to God and the community of faith at Suncreek UMC. And to serve as a constant reminder of our connection and covenant to the people of the Czech Republic, we will use the Czech word for grow - růst.
	Růst Sr. High Covenant Group (9 – 12th) The perfect way to break up your week! This group explores different material in an effort to explore faith issues and relate them to “real life Christianity. Wednesdays 7-8pm. Umoja Jr. High Covenant Group (7th - 8th grades) Join us each Wednesday from 3:45 to 5:00 for Umoja. Umoja is the swaheli word for togetherness.
	Human Sexuality At Suncreek UMC, we believe in nurturing holistic people. A comprehensive overview of sexuality through the lens of faith is an important part of a person’s faith development. CREATED BY GOD for all 6-7th graders Based on this popular book - our facilitator will lead 6-7th graders through this overview of anatomy and healthy choices. 	Jr. High Mission Trip Jr. High Mission Trip - Each Summer Suncreek takes a mission trip open to those who have completed 6th through 8th grade. July 22 - July 27, North Little Rock, Arkansas and Perryville, Arkansas. Click here to register
	Sr. High Mission Trip Sr. High Mission Trip - Each summer Sr. High youth participate in a mission trip. Open to Sr. High Youth that have completed 9th grade. This summer Sr. High youth will travel to Crown Point, New Mexico to the Navajo Indian Reservation. Click here to register
	Youth Auction YOUTH AUCTION DINNER Suncreek United Methodiat Women partner with Suncreek Parents of Youth and Cantate for an Annual Youth Auction Dinner to raise funds for youth mission trips and Cantate tours. The 2011 theme was "Roll Out the Red Carpet!" The auction featured tables decorated with movie theme's, a gourmet dinner and silent auction. This year's event is scheduled for April 14. Please contact Erick Dahl at erick.dahl@suncreekumc.org to be a parent volunteer.
	Other Ministry Opportunities Throughout the year, we seize opportunities for service, retreats, camps, worship leadership, and fellowship. We are reminded that when we are in community, we are connected with the reign of God. Youth Choir

We have an awesome youth choir called Cantate. The choir sings during Sunday Morning Worship at the 8:15am service on most Sundays. If you are interested in joining this group, come to a rehearsal or contact Phillip Haworth at phillip.haworth@suncreekumc.org. Click here for more information.
