All Saints Concert of Sacred Music

featuring Gabriel Faure's Requiem in D Minor, Op. 45

Rev. Kevin Holland, Minister of Music at Suncreek UMC, will direct the choir, which will be accompanied by organist Melanie McManigal and a professional orchestra.  In addition to the Requiem, the choir will also perform Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, My Eternal King by Jane Marshall and My Shepherd Will Supply My Need arranged by Mack Wilberg. 

Faure's uplifting work generally follows the standard liturgical text for a requiem Mass but with additions and omissions that result in a prevailing mood of peacefulness, comfort and serenity. Faure's Requiem often has been described as a requiem without the Last Judgment.

Admission to the concert is free, but a freewill offering will be collected.
