Dear Suncreek family,

I hope this finds you well. I know we send a lot of information in our attempt to keep everyone connected and in the loop. This note provides a link that allows you to read the Bishop’s letter regarding his latest plans on reopening the UMC churches in North Texas.

We are in the North Central District, so our facilities, at this point, will remain closed for a while past May 31. I know this is not what many had hoped, but it is what is best for us and the larger community.

As you are aware, the church is still open and going strong. Your clergy team are hard at work on the highly detailed plan involved in reopening under whatever restrictions will be in place. Your staff is still at work in all areas of ministry. We are blessed and should not lose heart.

Join me in worship the next two weeks for the sermon series, “Living in the In-Between”. Sunday is Ascension Sunday, when Jesus returns to God and the disciples are left  wondering what is next for them. Sound familiar? Can’t wait to share this word with you!

I love you church!

While circumstances continue to develop, these are the latest updates on our church’s decisions in regards to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our area.

We have moved our worship services online until further notice. You will be able to view the service anytime after 10AM each Sunday on our Video page. VIEW HERE

We have temporarily closed our church facilities until further notice. In order to minimize the potential impact of the virus, the church facilities are closed and all events involving both church and outside groups are canceled unless announced otherwise. However, the ministry of Suncreek continues. The pastoral care ministry continues by calling the church office and speaking to a pastor or leaving a message with your name and phone number, 972-390-1695.

The church is at its best in times of need, and our tithes and offerings to the ministries of Suncreek are as important as ever. You continue to have the opportunity to make gifts through the mail or online. This is also a great time to set automated online giving through our SECURE GIVING PORTAL.

As we continue to practice social distancing, remaining in our homes, we are still the church and continue to have virtual classes and small groups with computer apps like ZOOM. We have put together a page filled with details, ideas and resources to practice discipleship from home.  VIEW DETAILS

In times of crisis, the best thing we may do as people of faith is pray. In worship, we will offer a specific time for pastoral prayer and you can always submit prayers online. PRAYER FORM In addition, please call 972-390-1695 with your prayer needs.
