Leads the church’s ministries to children from infancy to 6th grade.  This includes Children’s Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School.

Assists the pastors and staff in assessing their gifts and in setting leadership priorities.  Works with the Sr. Pastor to develop job descriptions.

 This Committee was formed in January 2006.  The mission of this committee is to work for peace, justice, and positive societal change through education, advocacy, and outreach ministry.

Welcomes new members to the church and assists them in getting involved in the ministries of the church and in joining small groups like Sunday school classes and United Methodist Men.

 Works with other church committees to communicate information creatively and effectively to potential visitors, visitors, new members, and established members via print and electronic media.  This includes the church web site, ministry brochures, and monthly newsletter.

Maintains and assists with purchasing decisions for the computer-related technologies of the church.  This includes networked PCs, software, printers, and telephones.

To provide spiritual, physical and emotional support to members of the Suncreek UMC family in times of triumph and tragedy, and joy and sorrow, as servants of Christ, one to another.

Stewards of the church’s land, building, and equipment.  They seek to provide the physical tools that facilitate effective ministry.  This includes directing the maintenance of buildings, negotiating contracts for equipment, and securing property insurance.

Coordinates the work of all the programming committees and organizations of the church.  These include age level ministries and groups like United Methodist Women.

A fellowship of men that seeks to develop the spiritual life of the men of the church.  Encourages men to engage in regular Christian study and service.

Inviting Ministries Committee

Encourages members to share their Christian faith experiences with others.  Leads the church in inviting persons in our community to visit Suncreek UMC.  Seeks to encourage an environment in which visitors are warmly welcomed and provided with information about the church.  Invites visitors to become a member of the church.

A supportive fellowship of women who seek to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Christ.  The community is committed to supporting the ministries of the church to persons in need around the world.

Manages the financial resources of the church.  This includes working with church leaders to recommend an annual budget to the Administrative Board.

Works with our Senior Pastor, Minister of Music, and Associate Pastors to sustain and enhance the church's worship experiences.  This includes adding elements like seasonal banners to the sanctuary, managing ushering responsibilities, managing acolyte responsibilities, and preparing communion elements.

Hospitality Committee

Seeks offer a spirit of hospitality by coordinating food and beverages at events like receptions welcoming new staff members.

 Facilitates communication between the church and Boy Scout Troop 1299.

Caregiver Support Group Coordinator

Coordinates the Caregiver Support Group which offers a team of SUMC members to listen to and share concerns, needs and experiences related to parents, family members, or friends who are entering short-term or long-term care. Examples include cancer treatment, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term hospital care, etc.

Collects, organizes, and formats content for the monthly newsletter that is mailed the last week of each month.

Coordinates Suncreek's ministry that offers support and organizational tools to assist with the day-to-day issues of caring for seniors, their caregivers and families, and offers suggestions and support to help extend the ability of seniors to live independently.

 Recruits, trains, and coordinates the Suncreek UMC Usher Team.  Serves on the Worship Committee.

Coordinates Suncreek's ministry programs that support singles and offer opportunities for education, fellowship, healing and spiritual growth.
