Sunday School for Children

Come experience the joy of attending children’s Sunday School at Suncreek UMC! We have a place
for every child. At Suncreek UMC children learn about the Bible and the love of Jesus Christ
in a safe and nurturing atmosphere beginning from the earliest ages.

Parents of infant through 4-year-old children are requested to sign-in and
sign-out their children from Sunday School. Parents or older siblings
are asked to pickup K to 5th grade children at the conclusion of classes.

Nursery
Suncreek UMC offers nursery care for infants through two-year-olds.

Which Class Should My Child Attend?
Placement in our classrooms for 3-year-old to 5-year-old children is based on the child’s age as of September 1. For kindergarten to 6th grade students, placement is based on current school grade. Our kindergarten to 5th grade children, are promoted to the next grade in early June. Our 6th grade youth are promoted to the next grade in late May and are invited to be part of the Youth Program.

Please Pick-Up Children Promptly
As a courtesy to our volunteer teachers, please pick up your child within 5 minutes after Worship services or Adult Sunday School classes have ended. You are welcome to resume fellowship with friends after picking up your child.

Illness Policy
Children should be free of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or rashes for 24 hours before being left in a nursery or classroom and also free of extreme congestion or coughing. If a child has any of these symptoms after being checked in, someone will locate the parents. Parents of a child with chronic health problems should talk to the Children’s Minister to make special arrangements to meet the child’s needs. Church caregivers are not allowed to administer medications of any kind.

Children with Special Needs
In order to create the most positive experience for all children, it is extremely important that we are aware of any special needs a child may have. Parents are asked to inform the staff and teachers of any special needs such as allergies, asthma, epilepsy, hearing or vision impairments, learning disabilities or any mental physical or emotional challenges. This information will remain confidential between the family and the Children’s Ministry leadership.

Our special needs classroom, Noah’s Place, is available for children as needed. Our volunteers, Noah’s Friends, assist children with special needs. We have a place for every child.
